Overview
A company that has not carried on business for two immediately preceding financial years, or has not commenced business within one year of incorporation, can apply to the Registrar to have its name struck off under Section 248(2) by filing Form STK-2. Solvent companies with assets and liabilities to settle usually close through voluntary liquidation under Section 59 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. LLPs apply for strike-off in Form 24.
